    Pros

Depends on team you are working with. IT mostly done by contractors or offshore teams.

    Cons

Typical bank, some young inexperienced people, some old school stubborn self claimed experts.

    Advice to Management

Again, depends on the team, but in generally everyone is looking after himself. No team spirit.

I have been working at UBS full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

well capitalised, ahead of peers in many ways, good offices and flexibility working conditions, good solid brand.

    Cons

working hours have become extreme, focus on cost cutting and efficiency is at employee happiness expense. I have been with the firm for over 15 years, but no longer loving it, looking elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

rather than just cutting costs, develop and implement effective efficiency programs, like systematic and consistent (bank wide) process improvement. this will cost some money, but ensure long term value. Teams need to be augmented for this to happen, there is no spare capacity for staff to do this alone and without understood standards.
