Overall Great Employer, but They Create Problems, and Fix Later

      Pros

Decent pay, benefits, pension, Living Fit program, good facilities. Tuition reimbursement and psychiatric assistance is also a major pro.

      Cons

Little training, a lot of work, we have to pay for parking, and most of all - They make changes, but don't always have a full plan to support these changes. They build a building by using a parking lot, but what will happen to those parking spots? They release a practice manager, with no person to take their place, what is the direction we are going? They implement a new program that doesn't really work and offer no training. Communication is a major issue.

Amazing. Once you can get through the lengthy interview process, it is an amazing job.

      Pros

Amazing benefits, retirement, vacation/sick time. Will pay a portion of your schooling to continue your education. Also has training courses to take within the health system free of cost.

      Cons

You have to pay for parking, and they are not huge on training. They want you to have all the skills to start a position instead of wasting time on training.

      Pros

Pay is competitive to Dignity Health only (Sutter/Kaiser pay more), and MUCH MORE than the VA. Communication between HR/Recruitment is great. Love the new employee set up they have. So far they have really gone out of their way to make it a "warm welcome."

      Cons

No negotiation on starting-step pay. They refuse to answer "what do you take into consideration when determining starting-step pay?" Oh well. Again, they are fairly competitive with Dignity Health and much better than VA. Slightly higher health benefit payments than Dignity Health. ALL employees must pay for parking :( Sad. There is no way to get around it if you work FT. Signing up for their green-carpool thing has so far been a waste of time for me... I wish it was similar to MGH with ".50/day" rather than ~$48/mo.

Great benefits, decent pay, poor opportunity for advancement

      Pros

The benefits offered to full time employees are great. The pay is competitive. Education reimbursement is available. Furthering education is promoted by the health system.

      Cons

Career advancement is difficult. Leadership is poor in many departments. Must pay for parking permits. Raises are minimal, unless you're an RN. Although education is encouraged overall, management makes it difficult to actually attend education opportunities.

      Pros

Training classes for keeping up-to-date on technology. Newest software versions and updated computer and office equipment. Retirement/Pension plan. Medical and dental and other benefits.

      Cons

Clerical employees (_AA series) forced to be in a union - pay union dues. Pay for parking. Forced retirement/pension contribution amount. No state disability provided. Instead covered by independent insurance provider and can disapprove claims.
