I have been working at UC Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Everyone that I have come in contact with has been very encouraging and willing to teach, train or explain processes to help me become educated in my specialty.

    Cons

Going downtown for orientation/Epic training due to the traffic. It's annoying but not a deal breaker.

    Advice to Management

Offer trainings/orientations at various locations away from the downtown location when appropriate

I have been working at UC Health full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Steady work, pay is above Wyatt others pay.

    Cons

No work life balance, management is distant, unable to tell me how to do my job but is able to evaluate me.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to be trained on how to do my job before being judgemental.

    Pros

Great insurance and a good staff.

    Cons

Pathetic excuse for a manager. Pay isn't better than the midwest and the cost of living is almost double.

    Advice to Management

Get a new manager that has Biomed Experience.

I have been working at UC Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The hours; that's it... even there 3 months and already looking (and I'm no quitter; was employed for 7 years s at my last job and left only for better hours..)

    Cons

Where do I begin...ZERO communication between management and everyone else..lots of turnover, low pay, cliques environment..training for one job but doing a completely different job, so bad training..did I mention I've been there only three months? Yeah, don't work there...

    Advice to Management

I have no advice at this time; busy looking for another job...

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at UC Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Because it's a teaching hospital, the teaching aspect seems to trickle down even into the administration. There are always lots of people and teams of doctors around, so you're kept on your feet.

    Cons

Politics, no bonuses except for end of year 2.0-2.5% which basically just accounts for inflation.

    Advice to Management

Incentivize your employees not to leave. It's hard to maintain employees when hospitals a few blocks away are beating your salary/hourly price point. Give (even small) bonuses to those who do their jobs well to incentivize other employees to give their all as well.

I have been working at UC Health full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great working environment. Working remotely is a nice added feature. Health insurance is getting better. 401k 2% matching finally implemented. Not great but better than nothing.

    Cons

Poor pay. But overall management seems to be addressing issues. Buisness center facilities are antiquated. Would like to see better advancement possibilities.

    Advice to Management

Value employee. Enable a better remote work policy. Acknowledge employee accomplishment. Get more on track on area pay scales for positions.
