I worked at UGN full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible schedule. Good working environment and people are very friendly. Good upward mobility and retirement savings accounts, and health savings account. Corporate steward with charity.

    Cons

The health benefits were higher than what I was used to for a company this size. It may have been corrected with searching companies for better benefits. Always wish for higher bonus.

    Advice to Management

Keep an open door policy to all staff and at all times. Establish weekend coverage when the plant needs to work 7 days a week, every month. Have events to make the team work at its best.

    Cons

Horrible place to work. No communication bad work life balance. Stay away for your own good. Really stay away I'm serious

I worked at UGN full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The best thing about working there was the fact that there were three shifts and plenty of overtime available.

    Cons

Some of the challenges were the fact that they would try and give mandatory overtime to production employees thirty minutes before their shifts were to end.

    Advice to Management

Joe, the plant manager is a great person, some of the lower level management, not so much.

    Pros

There are no pros to working at UGN.

    Cons

Cheating customers is rampant. Automotive companies need to find out what happened to their assets that UGN is storing for them.

    Advice to Management

Close your doors, you are a disgrace ro manufacturing!

  8. "Terrible, revolving door of employees"

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

Some good employees but they come and go so quickly that you really don't get to know any of them very well!

    Cons

Management is awful! Profanity and unprofessionalism galore!
I hope other plants are not like this one in Monroe! No real management

    Advice to Management

    Need new plant management!

    Cons

Was a good company years ago, management decisions making it a very difficult place to work.

I have been working at UGN full-time

    Pros

I have spent years in multiple manufacturing business and I would say UGN is by far the easiest business I've worked.

    Cons

The only problems I had were dealing with the other employees I worked with. The biggest problems in the building would be the heat during summer.

    Advice to Management

My advice would be to make the team leaders earn their keep also. If the team leaders would spend as much time being a team leader as they do on their cell phones then I'd say working in a group for UGN would be beneficial.

I worked at UGN (More than a year)

    Pros

Good helpful people to work for. Great safety plan and awards prided to employees for a month of no accidents.

    Cons

Sometimes longer work hours are required. Office and plant personnel could get along better. Provide employees with better training to do their job.

    Advice to Management

Inquire with both plant and office employees to determine if further training is needed for an employees confidence, encouragement and safety.
