I worked at UIC Pavilion part-time

    Pros

Great job for extra spending money while talking college courses. Fun environment around some great sporting and music events.

    Cons

The biggest con around working at the UIC Pavilion was cleaning up after the shows were over.

    Pros

I loved working at the UIC Pavillion. I was given the chance to make a real impact at my school.

    Cons

I wish there was more flexibility in the hours and that training was a quicker process.
Not big cons at all though.

    Advice to Management

Thanks for having the interest of the students in mind. Best job at UIC! I have and will continue to recommend working here to all students.

    Pros

If your looking for that small job to-pay for those few things you need-for college, DO-NOT work here. The turnover

    Cons

rate is insane, they work you hard for below-minimum-wage (IL lets them). Sometimes they don't schedule-hours, that means having to

    Advice to Management

spontaneous-accept to-work during AM-ON-A SCHOOL-DAY without-warning or you get weeks-suspension.The management is disorganized because you will be given-contradictory-instructions.

I worked at UIC Pavilion part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You can choose to work when you want to. A flexible job for college students to make some money and focus on school simultaneously.

    Cons

The time you get off is usually later than what is indicated. Can be very boring standing or sitting for hours on end.

    Advice to Management

Try having leftover food more consistently at the end of shifts because students get hungry working for so many hours in a row.

I worked at UIC Pavilion full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Working here for over 5 years, I had a great time and got to know some really great people. My immediate boss was great and we had a very direct and clear line of communication. Great benefits, they were willing to work around your schedule if you wanted to take classes.

    Cons

Some rough overnight hours while working other days in a standard 9-5 format made planning anything difficult and left me tired. Upper management has changed since I left but had an unclear vision while I was there which was frustrating. Wages were below average which is why I ultimately left.

    Pros

Easy job that allows you to pick your own hours. It's a great way to work cool events like concerts. Great, easy going atmosphere.

    Cons

It's just a school job, which means once you graduate you can no longer work there. There's only certain events in the month, which means you don't get paid a lot.
