I worked at UIG full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

UIG is a good company, if your business aspirations fall completely into their system. The training is good. The incentive trips were amazing.

    Cons

In some cases, they take over half over your commissions. Once you leave the company it is very difficult to get assistance with commissions issues. If you sell more products than UIG's niche market your production is not valued.

    Advice to Management

Be more flexible to accommodate your agents. Adjust your commission split so that it is fair to agents.

They offer pre set appointment, direct mail leads, and turning 65 leads, friendly and knowledgeable sales support team, product and sales training available weekly, large product portfolio. There are many opportunities to build your book of business. UIG offers a Sales Convention for the agents and managers who hit their sales goals and it never disappoints.

    Pros

Telemarketing appointments, Direct Mail Response Cards, DNC scrubbed leads, and DNC leads available. You can reach the people others cannot with a superior selling proposition. I have developed a valuable area of expertise that causes people to seek me out. Meaningful work. You can become vested in a lucrative renewal income stream.

    Cons

It is not a get rich quick opportunity. It was slower for me to get started in this than it was in the car business and mortgage business.

    Pros

Great support team, provides leads, provides a variety of product to offer clients, top 40 sales agents get the opportunity to attend a great annual conference. Places like St John, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Aruba. No cap on how much you can earn based on how much you are willing to work. Constant training opportunities.

    Cons

Licensing and training can be tedious and time consuming, partly due to the Medicare and associated products being complicated. The down side is it delays potential earnings.
