The real fake reviews are the ones like “simply the best” down below

    Mar 31, 2023 - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

401k match, fully paid healthcare benefits (for now, they sent out a survey essentially asking which benefit you’d rather lose/be reduced over another), teammates.

    Cons

RTO - let’s get this straight. People aren’t just complaining because they have to go back 3 days a week; FYI comparing software professionals to healthcare in this regard is laughable. The company forced employees who had been virtual their entire careers to go to an office. They even converted certain offices that weren’t development offices to become dev offices, in order to force employees who lived within a 50 mile radius to go into those. Before this, they shut down several of the buildings so everyone lost assigned seating and were forced to book desks, many of which are still not properly set up to this day with the equipment needed. Managers were trying to get clarification for their employees for weeks due to all the poor communication and were not able to. The week before RTO was scheduled, they timed this with a mass layoff. Naturally, resignations of brilliant and talented employees followed those mass layoffs as well. Calling us “privileged” is rich — many of us here know what it’s really like to work for a reigning Fortune 100 Best Company. For Legacy Ultimate, we were at the VERY top for many years. We had leaders — real leaders — who never said things like “if you don’t like it you can leave” but instead were always looking for ways to improve even more and to make it the best company to work for, period. Calling us privileged because we’re asking to be treated right and for clear communication and empathy? To be addressed like we’re more than numbers, and like we’re actual people? “Celebrate your diversity. Respect the unique viewpoints, ideas and experiences of your people. Treat every individual equally, like family. Successful businesses are built on trust, respect and care for all.” - Scott Scherr, Ultimate Software founder & former CEO “When employees feel cared for, respected, and energized they are more invested in the business, they embrace change more rapidly and they find new and more effective ways to solve everyday issues” - Aron Ain, former Kronos & UKG CEO “If you don’t like it, you can leave.” - current Executive leadership. See the difference?

UKG - Simply the best - Here's why!!!! (A REAL REVIEW FROM A POSITIVE PERSON)

    Mar 31, 2023 - Anonymous-Current Employee

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Where do I begin!?!!! (disclaimer - this is a REAL review and please don’t listen to the whiners saying there are fakes reviews as they are the negative, entitled and toxic people who are the problem)! Ok back to the pros! Our amazing customers, employees and products that are years ahead of our competitors along with our unmatched executive team. The merger has attracted top talent that the pre-merger companies would not have been able to bring in. We do what it takes for the success of our customers and we all pull together internally as one team. Ukrewers care about others and our executives/senior leaders make decisions that protect not only the health and stability of UKG but also our customers and bringing the best WFM/HCM solutions to the market. FREE healthcare, crazy good 401k matching and a genuine focus on a for all employee model that is inclusive and equitable. Simply put the biggest pros are the people I work with everyday.

    Cons

The negative people writing negative reviews about UKG who are complaining about having to go to an office 3 days a week. It’s an insane sense of entitlement as so many professions don’t have any option but to show up in person. Pilots, nurses, teachers, construction workers, retail workers, taxi/uber drivers, emergency service personnel, bartenders, military personnel, chefs, servers, janitorial staff and the list goes on and on. Stop complaining and be grateful or please move on. It is a choice to work at UKG and part of being an adult is following organizational policies (even if you don't like all of them). We are all very fortunate to work at UKG!

We can do better as an organization

    Mar 30, 2023 - Customer Support
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Not too many left unfortunately. Used to be a wonderful place where employees were happy and cared for.

    Cons

Current customers and employees come last. Leadership is tone def to customer frustrations and feedback employees have been providing for the past 2 years. Execs are only concerned with getting new customers signed and only now starting to realize how many customers are leaving as it’s hitting their bottom line. All employees are overwhelmed and unhappy. The amount of product support issues are piled up with no end in site and fed up customers. Employees get no help from leadership and everything is a bandaid. Imagine coming to work daily and having to respond to mounds of unhappy customers with no help from leadership because they are in the same boat you are and inundated with requests they can’t find answers to and unable to provide customers with any update or timeline to their escalated items. Executive Leadership has made too many poor decisions without truly understanding processes and workflow, this leads to constant changes but none moving in the right direction. Too much role corruption and not enough clear direction at the executive leadership level has led to accountability issues and many arguments internally among teams only slowing response times to the customer. Items circle teams internally with very little movement. Everyday is now a battle at UKG externally as well as internally. The focus is no longer on the customer or employee. Unfortunately good employees are paying for low customer survey scores as they are being rated on things which are completely out of their control which is leading to high employee turnover. This only makes the internal issues worse as there are too many new employees in support without the product background or experience to really troubleshoot and it feels like we are down to only a few legacy employees that truly understand our old crumbling product. The line for these few resources is long and not sustainable.

    Cons

After the merger seem a lot of gaps between communication among teams, A little bit of micro management but that totally depends on the manager. New people coming at different levels so lack of domain knowledge seems to be a problem but will gradually overcome after sometime in future. Appraisal system changed, no employee self rating. Manager has the right choose the rating for the employee.
