Great Work/Life Balance
Nov 7, 2022 - Senior Solution ConsultantRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I've loved working at UKG so far. The company has a great company culture and the company provides you with all the resources for you to feel embraced and supported to be successful. It is great to be able to work from home and you're treated as an adult. Your manager does not micromanager your calendar and you have the ability to step out and come back to work whenever needed.
Cons
I'd say it is still too early for me to be able to share anything negative about the company yet. The only thing I noticed is that since the company is growing a lot, ever since I started, an Org Change/Restructured happened which for some more tenured employees could have impacted them for not being able to work with the same manager and teammates but in my case, since I am still a new employee, it did not have a direct impact on me. I would say just stay resilient because changes in a HCM/Tech company like UKG are inevitable. The company will continue to work and evolve. Not necessarily a bad thing.

Pros
The culture is amazing. I like working for a company that truly values their employees and shows it. The benefits are the best I have had with an employer and I have a great work/life balance. They offer the ability to work from home and really focus on growing you within the company from day 1.
Cons
None I do not have one bad thing to say about this company.

Great Place to Work!
Jun 9, 2015 - Cloud Customer Manager in Chelmsford, MARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
*Benefits *Management *Team *Work Schedule - very flexible Since starting at Kronos, I honestly have nothing but good things to say about the company. It shows on a daily basis how seriously they take work-life balance and they really want their employees to be happy. There are very few companies out that that invest as heavily in their workforce as Kronos does. The work schedule is incredibly flexible and the work from home option is really amazing. Management has been great, very far from being micro-managy and they are always looking for ways to improve the role. The pay is also very good. I'm very happy with what I am making. There is also an on-site gym, wellness coach and trainer to help you hit your well being and fitness goals...for free! Kronos also does 401k matching and offers employee discounts on several products as well as several other great benefits. Overall.. the hype is true. This is a great company to work for.
Cons
Since so many people on the team work remotely, it is hard to get to know co-workers especially when you are new, but again, this is also one of the benefits as we do have the flexibility to work remotely.

A great place to work that is creative, has excellent compensation and great management.

Kronos is very flexible and allows work from home and the ability to work a flexible schedule when needed to serve my customers. There is very little micromanagement and I am empowered to do what is needed to get the job done. Other departments are generally very cooperative and respond quickly and there are not a lot of territory issues. Going into the office is great and everyone is there because they want to be and it is full of creative, happy employees. I love going out and telling people I work for Kronos, most of our customers love us. (I am known as the Kronos guy at one coffee shop I frequent and given employee discounts. I did not ask for it and don't really need it. They do it because they love Kronos!)
Cons
The metrics used to measure us could be better. I had to point out how inaccurate and unfair one was and I think management agreed.

The best Company in my 8 years' career so far but still many things to improve
Dec 20, 2017 - Employee From Support Team in Montreal, QCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The company culture is great in Canada & USA. Family-oriented type of company / Montreal office with 300 people, 5300 worldwide. Continuous growth of revenues since...40 years ! We work 10mn away by Express bus from Concordia metrostation, 2mn walk from Côte-des-Neiges metro (blue line) # Time-off policy =unlimited paid vacation like some famous US companies, Netflix but also Gsoft in Montreal :) # Work from home (depends on team/projects but generally from 1 to max 2 days a week all year) # Bonus starts from 5%, then 7%... depending on your level # RRSP Kronos contribution : up to 3000$/year (depends on your salary too) Developers & Automation Engineers are at the core of Kronos' business. When hesitating between job offers, candidates might need to think about what is the core business of this or this company, the seniority of dev teams... Banks as employers and IT consulting firms for instance do not have Software/Cloud as their core business/own product, Kronos does! OTHER great stuff: # Permanent positions only : we keep the knowledge in the company, very few consultants in Montreal + extremely low turn-over # Good Collective Insurance plan : starts day 1 # Paid Tuition Fees for employees (5250$/year in Canada), the company has a Scholarship program for employee's children (500$) & a Children adoption participation plan too # Many discounts : Energie Cardio (80$ rebate so far), Hotels, Dell laptops, Car rental, Microsoft Home Use program... # French pastries on Fridays, free coffee/tea ;-)
Cons
1) Heavy workload at the moment - because of release of new SW Cloud Product Workforce Dimensions (100 persons involved in Montreal). Some top managers might need to have a closer eye on Work-life balance for people, especially to respect the week-ends in Canada. It is so important for the CEO himself. 2) External Communication : It is a BtoB company, so to hire the best people we would need to communicate more externally in Canada & US, example : sponsor tech meetups events, print advertising in the metro/buses when there are ones in local areas. Say how great benefits are within Kronos! We do not communicate enough the great benefits on Kronos website in general and Career page in particular 3) More trainings for our people, think about using latest frameworks (Angular, React, Automation Engineering...) once people have a bit less work. Do internal Hackathons mixing marketing, sales, dev... everywhere We could be more Agile, and let more space for innovation: the courage to lead!
