    Working as a per diem employer, it takes some time to try to advance in getting a full time position .

    Very long hours and very unsafe job.

    Pros

    There are many opportunities for education and professional development. Benefits (health, PTO/EIB, 403b) was pretty good compared to other places.

    Low pay and low raises.

    I have been working at UMC full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Payment is not bad . The salary increase from promotion is extremely high and in most case above ~30%.

    Cons

    Pure mandarin working environment with stress ful manager. High work loading and unpaid daily overtime happened almost routinely.

    Advice to Management

    More efficient management and less polical operation between different functional department.

    Pros

    Learning and training yourself
    Process Integration could learned lots of thing about semiconductor knowledge from (GDS in, new tape out,FEOL & BEOL process)

    Cons

    1.Time to market,All of project need on time deliver.
    2.Customer request of yield improve action & trouble shooting
    3.On call day and night

    Focus on future plan and do it,not tiny garbage work

    Team work is good, freely talk and share ideals with each other,
    Higher level managers are dedicated on technology development.

    Cons

    Pay is not compatible compare to tire 1 company.
    Loading between different team may be huge.

    Pass & share more information to the team member.
