    Negative Outlook

I worked at UMass Memorial Health Care full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

This organization offers good dental and health benefits

    Cons

Respiratory Care Department's management does not stand behind their subordinates. They under-staff and increase patient care loads to very unsafe levels for both patients and staff! Management expects staff therapists to do multiple treats at one time: unsafe! Doctors, nurses and respiratory work against each other. No team approach to patient care, even though management thinks there is; the culture is 'back-stabbing'! Disconnected disciplines: Unsafe!

    Advice to Management

Improve staffing levels; stand behind and support subordinates; make realistic and safe work assignments; address the disconnect between management and staff.
