Reviews about "great people"
Return to all Reviews- Current Employee, more than 5 years★★★★★
Pros
Smart and nice people Most supervisors are flexible with schedules Impactful work
Cons
Many employees are overworked Pay is low relative to competitors

Pros
The people in my department at my level were awesome and supportive. Many have become friends for life. Everyone wants to help each other to help make it through the day.
Cons
Management is super toxic and they are not to be trusted. Management does not care about those below them; they work all their workers into the ground. They only tell you what you did wrong, they never compliment anyone. If you are one of their favorites you will move up fast and not have to do much. I don't believe they know what they word kind means. Those higher than senior management believe every lie they are told about how wonderful senior management is. Until they stop drinking they Kool aid and get rid of senior management, this place will continue to be a revolving door of employees if they can even find anyone who wants to work there. Plus it is state so you make very little compared to industry standards.

Pros
Great staff, amazing co-workers. Most people are friendly and eager to help.
Cons
Some head departments are not very in touch with their staff. Some even look on them based on sex and nationality.

Pros
People were really nice and supportive
Cons
No real downsides, it was a good experience.
- Current Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
-People are nice and approachable. -Hours are slightly flexible. -Weekly meetings make tasks easier to manage. -You will learn more as you do your job. -Supervisor and other colleagues also want you to get something out of the job (new knowledge, skill, or your own project)
Cons
background check took a long time you have to make sure you have access to the building using your ID
- Current Employee, more than 3 years★★★★★
Pros
The people here are so collaborative and helpful. There are so many personal development opportunities within the company as well as externally provided by the company.
Cons
Non that I can recall.
- Former Employee, more than 3 years★★★★★
Pros
Very easy and great people to work with
Cons
No cons from my experience
- Current Employee★★★★★
Pros
The people have always been very nice and accommodating. Management is always supportive and wanting to help you succeed.
Cons
UNC does not pay graduate students nearly enough. Many of us work two to three jobs to make ends meet.
- Former Employee★★★★★
Pros
Great culture - people are generally friendly and supportive of each lther
Cons
Hiring processes are generally slow
- Current Employee★★★★★
Pros
Benefits and compensation are competitive. I work offsite so my experience is a little different and I don’t interact much with the campus/administration side. My department has clear objectives and my research team is a great group of people to work with. Transparency in work expectations is also a plus.
Cons
Parking is atrocious if you work on campus.
