I worked at UNC Charlotte (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very flexible with scheduling, very friendly and good pay for the job that you are doing. You also get to meet many people.

    Cons

Can only work less than 20 hours in a week. Too many employees so it is hard to get enough hours.

    Advice to Management

There was too much internal turnover. Make it more fair for employees who actually want to work and schedule them more often.

    Pros

great campus , amazing program, the campus is growing every day so it is exciting.

    Cons

not too many cons, I would say, but maybe not good restaurants inside the campus

    Advice to Management

Please decrease the parking permit price. People paying $500 for parking and not finding parking spots, is really bad!

I have been working at UNC Charlotte full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Plenty of holidays, retirement plan is ok. Most facilities are good.

    Cons

University wants to grow, but administrators don't want to do any work or change processes. Below market pay, expensive health insurance, very minimal raises for years...

Career growth and development opportunities for EPA employees is almost non-existant.

    Advice to Management

Pay market rate salaries. Enable researchers to grow and streamline processes to do so.
