I’m going to be vague here so forgive me, but need some opinions. I got a Masters in a specialty and have worked in this specialty for 1 year. I was approached on LinkedIn by a recruiter for a position doing the job I was doing prior to my current specialty. This new opportunity has the potential to be a great stepping stone in my career with a better title and way more money but I feel like I’m taking a step backwards by not using my Masters. Would you stay on the path that you went to school..

It s a job/ career keep it that way!

Mar 3, 2021 - Anonymous Intern in Raleigh, NC
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

The Benefits are good PTO Bonus at end of year Multiple place to eat nearby/ in hospital

    Cons

Lots of favoritism especially in specific departments! Do not voice your opinion or concerns beware they will find away to handle it. Good employees are noticed if they brag about themselves High turnover employees/managers understaffed departments Lots of back stabbing to advance. Gossiping and bullying go on making it difficult to feel comfortable. HR response is to ignore it! If you report anything about harassment it is addressed slap on the hand don’t do again response. The victim is targeted by others as a problem. Your personal life is known by most if a fellow coworker tells what they see. If management don’t like you but need you they prevent movement from shift/ department. The environmental services/ transport some CNA’ s & techs are treated as below everyone else. Since UNC takeover the morale has went down badly.
