I worked at UPS Airlines part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Physically challenging, good way to lose weight. Promotion is done all in company, mostly. Pay gets better the more you get promoted. The truck.

    Cons

The air in the warehouse I worked in was very dirty. I eventually developed a consistent cough that only went away after I left. In fact, the biggest reason I left was the dirty air. Wear a mask, no matter how uncomfortable it is. Pay at the bottom is low, unless you get lots of overtime. It gets real hot/cold in that processing center. Not everyone can handle the physically demanding work.

I have been working at UPS Airlines full-time

    Pros

    Strong brand in your resume

    Cons

This place is seriously stuck in 1993. Ancient systems, this place still relies on SharePoint. The use of advanced technology here is probably not going to happen fine another decade. So while UPS will be trying to catch up FedEx and DHL will be running circles around them. Management is very old fashioned one day a week telework option after being employed with the company for 6 months. Culture is so old fashioned. The only opinion that matters is the highest paid person in the room. Keep looking. Don't fall for the hype. You'll be miserable.

I worked at UPS Airlines full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Jumpseat benefits and competitive salary and management incentive program for comparable positions.

    Cons

'Get it done at all costs' environment at the cost of safety, peers work in individual silos; most people are focused on their tasks, there is limited resources for getting help due to staffing being so lean. Archaic logging systems and databases make it difficult to collaborate with others and access job related information. Yelling and berating others although rare, still happens from time to time. No flex time and you will be on call during the Peak shipping season (November - December). Limited career path options outside of maintenance and service engineering.
