I have been working at UPS Capital full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible, no one is down your back unless you really messed up. Even then, by next week your forgiven. Plenty of room to get more responsibility, room to grow and learn, Team overall is laid back. Work can be challenging at times if you seek it.
    The bonus's aren't bad.

    Cons

In the past your bonus and overall performance was based on the team, some individuals on the team slack and complain (like they are complaining in these other reviews) which can stop you from receiving 100% of your bonus.

The pay is decent, but you could get a lot more responsibility and your pay wont increase. But don't worry, it wont cause you any more stress at the end of the day.

    Advice to Management

Hold us all accountable for our work, if we aren't delivering, let us know. If we are delivering, award us accordingly.

I have been working at UPS Capital full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Big company with great benefits and lots of people whom you can learn from. Leadership has lots of experience in transportation and sales.

    Cons

Top heavy. A lot of mangers there have been through the wringer which, for some odd reason, motivates them to hold back talent. If you are young and looking for major opportunities, this is an amazing place to start getting big experience but it moves slow and very easy to get stuck in the wrong group. A lot of people have been delayed promotions for so long that they genuinely do not know how to manage. No project management or direction.

    Advice to Management

Relax a let young people do all of the hard work. Focus more on leadership and development and the company will be able to move more quickly.

I worked at UPS Capital full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Ups Capital was a progressive company with creative, smart and friendly and approachable management who were dedicated to developing themselves and employees.

    Cons

The sales role was a grind. Lots of cold calls and not much support from the parent company. Vacation benefits were terrible. I was offered 2 weeks at a mid level position.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. You really understand and appreciate the value that people bring to an organization.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at UPS Capital (More than a year)

    Pros

Growing million dollars company aspiring to become billion dollar company

    Cons

No structure and leadership are very controlling. There ways or highway. Now becoming vendor management IT development team as they are using cheap offshore resource through a consulting company and eliminating onshore resources with experience

    Advice to Management

Company become billion dollars business through acquisition of related company, expansion of products and managing resources to its full capacity not using cheap labors

I have been working at UPS Capital full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great opportunities for aggressive employees, benefits of UPS HQ but none of the stagnant culture, good compensation, visibility to all levels

    Cons

The culture is not great for progressive thinkers. Terrible execution on most projects and marketing initiatives, short staff, confusion surrounding project details, very segmented with a lack of big picture thinking amongst workers due to lack of visibility and exposure to other departments. WAY TOO MANY MANUEL PROCESSES.

    Advice to Management

Pay incoming employees more in order to incentivize upward mobility.
