I worked at UPS full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good pay and very laid back, bought food often for the office to eat and can be friendly with you.

    Cons

Horrible management , picking favorites, and horrible hours. Often times would make you do 2 other jobs plus your own because they refuse to hire more people.

    Advice to Management

Work on bettering management and stop picking favorites , and hire enough people so that you’re not working people to death making them cover multiple jobs because you’re cheap and don’t want to hire more people.

I worked at UPS part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Tuition reimbursement is just about the only good thing working for UPS. The job is also very easy.

    Cons

Way too many supervisors that are practically still kids (21~ years old) that are never on the same page. Hours that I worked were often shorted and not paid to me. Terrible communication throughout the entire warehouse.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees a decent wage. Get supervisors that actually communicate and are on the same page so the employees do not keep getting conflicting things told to them. Job is very monotonous and thus the turnover rate is incredibly high. Most importantly, RESPECT your employees and stop thinking yall are holier than thou..

I have been working at UPS part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You get paid to work and you also get a workout at the same time.

    Cons

You will be sore because you deal with different size packages and sometimes the smaller packages weigh as much as the bigger packages.

    Advice to Management

I wish UPS would pay a little more when you first start out.

I have been working at UPS full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great work/life balance. Plenty of opportunities to move around in the organization.

    Cons

Base pay should be higher for the amount of business we are responsible for. Sure, the total compensation may be competitive. But our base salary and commission structure is not strong compared to similar positions at other large companies.

    Advice to Management

Find a way to compensate your people more or you will keep losing top talent.
