I have been working at UPS Freight full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good work life balance. I'm able to take off or leave early when needed.

    Cons

Layoffs, Company is only concerned about the bottom dollar, not the workers, unsafe work conditions (mold, ceiling leaking, furniture old and falling apart). Hard to advance unless you know someone in upper management and kiss butt.

    Advice to Management

Make your employees feel more appreciated. Stop sending jobs overseas and out of state just to pay the new workers less money and no benefits.

I have been working at UPS Freight part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Benefit after 1 year anniversary

    Cons

Fluctuation in hours, mandatory overtime which can limit your ability to keep a second job even though you're part time. Employees punished for having life events. No insurance or benefits for 1 year.

    Advice to Management

Stop cursing at your employees; punishing everyone for certain people's low production; stop discriminating against women, wrongfully terminating associates based on personal opinions.

I worked at UPS Freight full-time

    Pros

The hours were very flexible. I could attend school and the management staff were willing to work with you if you had business to handle.

    Cons

I think the training program could be updated. I also think the grading process of the calls were used to easily get rid of people which kept the turnover rate high.

    Advice to Management

Find quality people to work for you instead of bringing in a large quantity. This prevents the steady influx of new people which is easily visible and frustrating for customers who.
