    Pros

Friendly people , Relaxed workplace, Causal dress style and they have a cafeteria that makes a fire BLT.

    Cons

I worked at UPS Supply Chain Solutions as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Able to disconnect when you leave the office; overtime is available; perfect example of failing upward; industry knowledge isn't needed

    Cons

Departmental heads are passive aggressive; no accountability, structure, or managerial involvement; incompetence is rewarded; toxic environment; lots of talk about being part of a team, however, no one actually works as a team.

    Advice to Management

Stop rewarding incompetence, placing blame and allowing people to preform at a substandard level.

I have been working at UPS Supply Chain Solutions as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

I really like the people I work with. A great group all around. My manager is very effective as well. I enjoy that he doesn't micromanage, and he trusts us to get he work done, which we always do.

    Cons

Communication could be better. Processes also need to be established better. The atmosphere is very corporate, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, it just means that I still feel like I'm new even though I've been working there for several months.

I worked at UPS Supply Chain Solutions full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Steady work, reliable corporate structure and culture. Right from day one they assume you're going to be with the company for decades at least.

    Cons

Old fashioned ideas of how to run a business. Too little coordination between departments. Weirdly strict dress code. Diminishing benefits.

    Advice to Management

Loosen up on the rigid hierarchy. And stop cutting benefits. If you value your people, you can afford it.

I have been working at UPS Supply Chain Solutions full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Company has a great legacy
    Awesome co-workers
    Decent health benefits

    Cons

Pay is far below industry standard for technical work. Can't wear facial hair in 2015. The result is young workers see the company as a pit stop to a better job

    Advice to Management

Pay scale and appearance rules probably need to be updated to current standards to retain talent

I have been working at UPS Supply Chain Solutions full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Work life balance, the ability to work flexible hours.

    Cons

Salary is very very low. Management keeps lower rung people out of the loop. Company is siloed, people cannot tell you what goes on in other parts of UPS. Strictly follow the process, if you don't, you get corrected immediately. Growth is not easily achieved, you have to navigate your own path and look outside of your group. Not enough work to fill a 40 hour work week. This might be the product of working in a Georgia work environment. Job is not fast paced compared to the northeast.

    Advice to Management

Pay people what they are worth. Foster new ideas and adapt to them. Decrease the layers of management and red tape to get things done.
