I have been working at URS Corporation full-time

    Pros

Recognize talent and promotes them. Very safe work environment. Benefits are pretty good. Being an hourly position, you can take of as much time as you need.

    Cons

Sometimes settles on personal to hire. Managers don't always take action when action is needed and the issue festers. There are no sick days provided and vacation kicks in only after a year of being employed.

    Advice to Management

Filter your hires better, save yourself the trouble of troublemakers. Create and provide training for employees so they can learn their jobs better, instead of just hiring bodies.

I worked at URS Corporation (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There were many great engineers who worked together to help one another. Upper management, engineers and project managers were always open to discussing complex ideas on projects, even if it wasn't their project.

    Cons

Corporate policies made life on the job harder than it should be. Big brother took away our clients and depleted our projects which resulted in a major reduction in force.

    Advice to Management

Upper corporate needs to delegate clients and projects throughout the company if there's going to be any chance for success.
