    I worked at US Air Force full-time for more than 5 years

    Amazing training, Paid Travel, Overseas tours, Certifications for PADI diving and USP Parachuting. Demolition training, Small Arms & Heavy Weapons training, Radio theory and applications, Radio Communications, Air Traffic Control, SERE school, HALO, Airfield seizure and establishment, Recon, Land Navigation, Small unit Tactics, Call For Fire, SOTAC/JTAC, Medevac, Air Assault, Airborne, Fast Roping, Repelling, HELO Casting, Live Tissue/Trauma medical training, Jumpmaster, Divemaster, Sapper and Pathfinder equivalent, ATV/Dirt Bike training, Long Range Rifle school/CQB. Available tryouts-TIER 1 unit (24th) Military years of service transferable for retirement to Other Gov Agencies. Full medical and Dental Between $60-90k reenlistment bonus (4 or 6 year). -Tax free overseas. Deploy and work with other units within SOCOM

    Time away from family. Excessive workloads at times. High Risk environments. Friends will get shot or blown up.

    I have been working at US Air Force full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Travel the world, the best education benefit hands down, promotion based on own work ethic, 30 days of paid vacation per year that accumulates at 2.5 days per month. Retirement after 20 years of honorable service. pay starts to be great after the first 5 years or so.

    Cons

    you have to defend the nation when called upon. very strict policies, you cant just quit when you want to. contracts are usually signed for 4 years at a time.
