    Pros

Freedom of maneuver, varied roles and locations, exceptional level of responsibility, leadership opportunities, ability to make a difference in people's lives in the service of the nation.

    Cons

Service in uniform comes to an end for every military member and the transition is a challenge to related skills, abilities, and leadership styles.

    Advice to Management

First job is and should always be taking care of the people. The mission is crucial, but the ability to accomplish the mission is born of highly skilled members who are motivated to do so by virtue of being assured that leadership is and will always be in their corner.

    Pros

The US Air Force is a great place to start a career and an even better place to end a career.

    Cons

Stress levels at work that are totally unnecessary. The military has a bad habit of promoting Sociopaths and Heros while overworking technically competent individuals. Many of whom leave at the first opportunity.

    Advice to Management

Plan ahead, work to standards, stop giving in to the whims of each and every power figure that shows up on the doorstep and develop your own style that works and stick to it.

I have been working at US Air Force full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The military offers unparalleled opportunities to see the world. They also provide excellent compensation and benefits package that make it easy to support a family. The stability offered by the Department of Defense is hard to match.

    Cons

The opportunities to see the world come with a downside. Deployments and frequent moves can put stress on a family. The Air Force values its pilots over all others. If you can't fly, consider joining a different military service

    Pros

30 days of paid leave, opportunity for Space A travel, housing allowance, work with amazing people. Ability to move every two to three years.
