    If you can stick out the days of reserve, there will be brighter days ahead.

    * Great benefits (if you don't fly during any busy time, standby works decently)
    * Everyone is nice and professional

    Cons

    * Big company, so a bit slow at changing things/ being adaptive, especially with management

    I worked at US Airways full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Loved the company. Enjoyed my job and the people I worked. The company always provided challenges and it was up to you to meet them. Great benefits, pay was less but total compensation package was reasonable.

    Cons

    Merger with American has caused more changes then was experienced with the AWA/US. Personnel changes and new middle management leadership decisions are not always the best thought through decisions.

    Advice to Management

    I would always advice a company to lead by example as well as put yourself in your employees shoes once in a while. Keep your office door open and listen to everyone with an open mind.

    Pros

    Outstanding company. Highly recommend working for them and well as US Air Express. Always willing to help and go above and beyond for the passengers.

    Cons

    Pay was not as high as other airlines. Would recommend doing your research about how often you get a pay raise and when you will have evaluations and how often you will get a raise. Also advise getting your schedule in writing as many times it was changed at the last minute without warning.

    Advice to Management

    Personally, I would have liked to see more "cootoes" Attaboy" "upbeat spirit" from management. I feel if they would go above and beyond to recognize the hard work the employees put into the job instead of only breaking them down or not saying anything at all, then it would go along way to making a much better atmosphere for all and keep the spirits high and everyone would be encouraged and have a drive to be the very best each and every day.
