    Pros

Benefits are great and the people are great. This is a good job for people just graduating high school and are looking for jobs with good benefits and a strong future. I joined the company straight out of high school and I love it. The pay is great and they benefits are great as well. I have been able to travel all over the country for free. I was even able to bring friends along with me. When my first son was born I was able to work all the overtime I wanted which really helped out with bills.

    Cons

Working in the elements are all ways tough.

    Advice to Management

    Remember where you started.

I have been working at US Airways part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I have been all over the world. Eight countries this year alone. All because i can fly for free and i get great discounts all over the place. The pay is good, the insurance is ok, but we do get a lot of extra benefits. If you like to work with a diverse group and you love to travel this is the job for you.

    Cons

You have to be very disciplined. You cant be late, leave early, call in sick more than once or twice a year and you get monitored on a lot of things that could get you written up or even fired. You also need to be very patient.

    Advice to Management

It would be nice to make as much as some of the other air lines and better health insurance would be nice.

    Pros

Flight benefits are awesome; great health benefits at reasonable cost; career development opportunities; ability to move up or laterally; a CEO who cares

    Cons

Compensation is below average; industry is very volatile-- on-going worries about mergers and acquisitions; some members of upper management are difficult and need to walk the talk

    Advice to Management

Improve the focus on retaining top talent; improve compensation levels bringing them to industry standard

I worked at US Airways full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Free flights when seats are available (free as many times a year, no limits) just pay taxes to fly international. Easy to trade shifts to get time off to go on vacations or day trips. Company matches 50% to your 401k. Company helps when you have medical issues, they really work with you to give you the time off. Overall Great company.

    Cons

Start at a lower pay but put your time in and it will pay off. You HAVE to have patience for this job. You deal with the public being stressed out, so those people are mad and frustrated and will take it out on you. Fast paced and its hard to get your breaks in. You have to have high seniority to get holidays off.

    Advice to Management

    none really
