    Pros

Great benifits once you were off reserve, wonderful health benifits, coworkers were awesome, passengers were wonderful. Pay is great for starting ...job with pride, for sure can work your way up

    Cons

Hard to get off of reserve. Sitting around for hours with no pay waiting for a flight, long layovers, hard to get back home for a few days off

    Advice to Management

Be more open to listening to Co workers...make it fair to everyone ...give everyone a equal opportunity that wants it

I worked at US Airways full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great flight benefits, medical benefits and mostly good people to work with in the IT Department. Easily able to change schedule and trade shifts.

    Cons

flight benefits are all stand by basis, the IT department has nepotism when hiring for upper level positions. HR is for the company and not for the employee, so beware if you need to go to HR with an issue. The pay is cut way down because they decided that the flight benefits out weigh the pay.

    Advice to Management

Compensate people for what they do and you will have better employees. Look into the nepotism within the departments and don't take a blind eye to the individuals that are seeking assistance from HR. Carefully review who you hire as managers and take a good look at the history with employees not just what they have achieved because taking you in the direction you need to go doesn't always depend on the management- it also depends on your employees.

    Pros

Outstanding company. Highly recommend working for them and well as US Air Express. Always willing to help and go above and beyond for the passengers.

    Cons

Pay was not as high as other airlines. Would recommend doing your research about how often you get a pay raise and when you will have evaluations and how often you will get a raise. Also advise getting your schedule in writing as many times it was changed at the last minute without warning.

    Advice to Management

Personally, I would have liked to see more "cootoes" Attaboy" "upbeat spirit" from management. I feel if they would go above and beyond to recognize the hard work the employees put into the job instead of only breaking them down or not saying anything at all, then it would go along way to making a much better atmosphere for all and keep the spirits high and everyone would be encouraged and have a drive to be the very best each and every day.

    Cons

    Advice to Management

Managemeny is a bit different here because there are so many with this company. There is a manager for every 5 gates

I worked at US Airways full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Working at US was a great experience. We seemed to usually be working from an underdog position vs. the big guys, but I think we were stronger for it..

    Cons

Keeping costs low was always a top priority, so sometimes we couldn't get the resources for the projects that we wanted.

    Advice to Management

Keep the fighting spirit alive at AA.
