    Advice to Management

Do what you can to maintain the Army culture.

I have been working at US Army as an intern (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Steady check, no rent, no food bills, great job experience, great memories, great benefits. Youll be able to attend college on the militarys dime. Shoot big weapons. Sleep in mud holes if necessary. Pretty much grow up real quick and learn a lot of cool stuff. Plus before you get out they teach you a ton of stuff to help you write your resume, dress for interviews, and how to do an number of tho
Ings. Youll find that once youve been a solDier long enough that civilians wont understand some of youre military language and its hard to get used to them not knowing how you communicate day to day. Youll make life long friends in the uniform thatll stick with you beyond the point to which even your own blood will. Good luck. Dont join to kill people. Join to help people. To spread the good will, caring, and freedom that the FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES STANDS FOR. Hooah!

    Cons

Your occassionally treated like a child, highschooler, or like you litterally know nothing. You have to prove youre competent... but once you do youll be over loaded with more responsibility than you can imagine. Its not so much rewarding a job in the monetary sense but it does give you a sense of pride having been one of the few and proud to wear the uniform. If you wanna live a rough predictably unpredictable life style thats constantly on the go pushing you to your limits and challenges your bearing, integrity and will power this is the job for you. Hooah.

    Pros

Ever-changing environment. The tempo can vary from slow to fast and furious. Depending on your MOS/Job, the organization can be rewarding to be a part of especially for servant leaders and purpose-driven individuals. You join for the culture, not for the money or position.

    Cons

Leadership can be hit or miss and long hours are common especially when you're in leadership role.

I have been working at US Army as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There is inumerable rescources that are priceless to young adults starting their professional life, but don't necessarily know what direction they're going

    Cons

There is a high of not inevitable risk of injury. The healthcare system is bottom of the barrel, and at times laughable, that is, unless you get shot or blown up.

    Advice to Management

More rigorous screening of medical professionals and staff and a better system for disseminating information
