I worked at US Army full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Worthwhile mission, camaraderie, physically active

    Cons

Early mornings, work-life balance can be a challenge

    Advice to Management

Develop your subordinates, training is the time for trial/error and allowing your people to fail and learn, zero-defect attitude toward training defeats the purpose.

    Cons

    Advice to Management

It's not just the shooters who need training, everyone needs to be able to do every spectrum of their job to complete the mission. Just because you have years of experience in your field does not mean you know mine.
