I worked at US Army full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great benefits after discharge met some really good people sometimes genuinely interesting work

    Cons

Toxic Leadership Dangerous work enviornment Meaningless and boring work when not deployed

    Advice to Management

For my first few years in, I was led to believe that the reason that Army leadership NEEDED to be so toxic and domineering was because that was the best way to train for combat. NCO's that treat their soldiers like disposable assets need to be weeded out and discharged.
