    Pros

    Pay stability, guaranteed upward mobility for those who make the effort to advance/promote; retirement benefits are good after 20 years of service; free education while in service (i was able to get bachelor's and master's degree while still in service)

    Cons

    Difficult for spouse's career due to frequency of Permanent Change of Station (PCS); length of underway deployments hard on marriage/family

    Pros

    Extremely easy job. There is usually no work outside the office.

    Cons

    The hours are bad. usually, 12-hour shifts rotating days and nights. Pay amounts to minimum wage. Boat tour 1-2x is garanteed.

    Lots of opportunities to learn new things. Helps with training and education. Some leaders are amazing. Willing to work around family crisis. Medical fees always covered.

    Cons

    Some units can be toxic. You're stuck with people for a long time. Some leaders aren't the best
