I have been working at US Coast Guard full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The Coast Guard offers a wide range of job specialization along with training. There is a sense of family within the organization that makes it easier when you have to transfer from one location to another.

Obviously one of the biggest is the same with any military service that you can expect to move every 3 to 4 years and you won't always be able to control where you go.

Remember the needs of your people.
