    Pros

Great pension plan under FERS and TSP 5% matching is attractive. The work is rewarding. There is opportunity for lateral experiences.

    Cons

Promotion often appears opaque. The quality of managers is uneven. I've worked for amazing leaders and some not so amazing. The good news or bad is that your manger will change sooner rather than later.

    Advice to Management

The leadership might want to focus on individual skills in a job rather than workers as plug and play. That said, continue your mission focus.
