    I have been working at US Department of Homeland Security full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Not a very difficult job but it has lots of procedures to remember.

    Cons

    Everyone (including passengers) suffers when lazy people are not doing their share of the work.

    Advice to Management

    Although management thinks they know the quality of work performed by the officers, they don't do enough to get rid of the lazy people there.

    The organization is still growing and finding its legs among more senior and well established members of the Intelligence Community

    Pros

    Department of Homeland and Security has many opportunities to serve in security fields all over the U.S. The reach out for helping others in catastrophic events gives you a sense of purpose in times of need and it builds unity all across the world

    Cons

    Deployments can be long and somewhat unsupervised depending upon the event and the number of volunteers needed to fulfill the mission. In most cases initiative is required and lack of instruction is given on the exact need of the workers.

    Great Benefits!! The Government always offers the best benefits at the very best monthly rates to employees.

    Cons

    Employees need better right.....in TSA Division only.

    TSA needs to change a lot of things for there employees.
