I worked at US Department of Justice full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The benefits cover almost all if your medical needs and there are choices between providers and types of coverage (HMO or PPO). There are also health care savings accounts, dental, and vision benefits.

    Cons

Premiums can be high and they are pulling back on coverage. They also increase co-pays and deductibles regularly.

    Advice to Management

Try to keep co-pays and deductibles low. Also, try to get into health care programs. For example, my most recent employer was part of a cancer resource program that waived co-pays on all of my cancer treatment visits.
