    Pros

    Good working environment and good people that you work with. Although the pace at which company priorities are handled could be improved.

    Cons

    Very bureaucratic and many policy that help employees are riddled in red tape and have to go up and down the chain of command just like the military

    Advice to Management

    the management did a good job at having the employees feel welcomed.

    Employees work great together. Flexible schedule. Good benefits. Great location.

    Cons

    Senior management is not employee focused. Regional hierarchy lacks leadership and plays favorites. Some managers do not know how to manage employees and not held accountable.

    Learn how to effectively and efficiently lead people before taking on a positions that requires being in charge of people.

    Pros

    I worked for 3yrs @ Job Corps Center in Washington, DC. I enjoyed the rapport with managing the young people there and making a positive impact on the development of youth lives. US Depart. of Labor supplied funding for program under government contracted services, which the program benefited from.

    Cons

    Whoever the funds weren't used to the betterment of trades, teachers, supplies and staff training.

    Advice to Management

    Give subordinate staff pay increases for the hard work they render to youth, when they're understaffed and underpaid and limited resources.

    Provided affirmative action updates for women, veterans, and minority's. Assisted women business owners with knowledge of construction contracts. Travel

    Cons

    Hardhat requirement. Dangerous site inspections at times. Long and tedious investigations.

    Advice to Management

    Expand in depth examination of government contractors for discrimination practices.

    Pros

    Great working with age group, good salary. Good benefits. Rewarding to see progress with students I actually loved what I did but demands and because everyone had to do coverage, it was tough..

    Cons

    Students are great to work with but long hours and demands. Long drive to work if you're not local. If you directly work with students, high burnout. But still rewarding.

    Advice to Management

    Monitor staff burnout.
