Now they have cameras inside the trucks and see every the drivers does and they have a point system which they use to give you bonuses.. good luck.

- The people within the IT department are very personable and friendly. - Many people are willing to help with tasks that fall within their skill set.
Cons
- There is a lot of room for technology improvement. - There is a clear path but seems to be a lack of action to get the IT department where it should be.

SSG Employee - Overall good company, but room for growth
Dec 21, 2022 - Anonymous/Employee in Middletown, CTRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
A lot of great employees, starting at the top, people I am proud to work for and with who embody the company's core values. Great work life balance, flexible hours, and the ability to work remotely. Growth opportunities, not just in title/pay, but also in learning new things. 401K Match Well managed business and pricing strategy has made the company very stable, many layoffs during covid were temporary or underperforming staff. As a company, they are not afraid to fire high ranking managers who do not meet expectations.
Cons
Retaining employees in certain departments has been close to impossible (though somehow, the service level from those departments has not been affected) Health insurance is very expensive. Communication in some departments is better than others.
- Current Employee, more than 8 years★★★★★
Pros
teamwork, opportunity for business and personal growth, opportunity to network and cultivate relationships both in and out of the organization, vested interested in culture, work/life balance, transparency on the business and the future, a desire to improve and advance
Cons
need to continue to fill the bench with more talented people
