    Pros

The pay is good but they work you like a dog to get it.

    Cons

Management is very untrustworthy. They fill you up with promises and the hopes of advancement and then never give you the chance. I worked in the industry for years even for their competitors prior to my employment with them and I would not recommend US Foods. I would recommend there competitors first. As long as the product gets shipped out on time night mgmt could care less of making employees happy or work flow easier.

    Advice to Management

    Mgmt needs to change.

I worked at US Foods (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Benefits start day of hire
    Break room is great
    Great pay
    Flexible off days

    Cons

Management is a joke. Buddy system. It has a high turnover basis because of production

    Advice to Management

Corporate should bring in some new faces in management. More could be done to improve production if management was better.

I have been working at US Foods full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great employees most and people work fine together. Pay was great. And they have mostly new equipment which makes the job easier.

    Cons

In that location we are currently losing lots of accounts which is causing hourly workers to lose money and there seems to be no lights at the end of the tunnel

I worked at US Foods (More than 8 years)

    Pros

This company had great benefits and wonderful people who work there. I was able to move up the ladder when I first started with the company which was a great benefit. Most of my supervisors were easy to work with and we got along well.

    Cons

This is a large company and I felt it was easy to get lost among all the other employees. I felt like more like a number instead of a person. I did feel at some times in my employment that my thoughts and ideas on how to do my job were not important.

    Advice to Management

Be willing to listen to those who are actually doing the job, they have good insight and can tell you what is really going on out there. Remember what works in one part of the company will not necessarily work in another part of the company.

I have been working at US Foods full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They pay really good, you can make a lot of money for a person with just a high school diploma and a little bit of warehouse experience plus if you need a little bit of extra cash you can work harder to make it. (PTO) Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick, Personal Days) you get them within three months of working . Micro Managed company, and you will work no longer than 45 hours a week and still make good money.

    Cons

They go by the book so if you have issues with following protocol you will be out the door quick. They take favoritism to another level. While you work hard to get your money others that have seniority will get special privileges and make more than you will while they work less hard than you are working. Everything Is blamed on Selectors everyone else is safe other than selectors but we do make the most so they put the most pressure on selectors. Co-workers have attitudes and will get on your nerves because your time is money and everyone is for self. Their is no alliance within selectors the managers sabotaged the selectors by giving the people with seniority easier work that makes their pay grade stay high the won't say nothing because they don't want to mess it up while the new-comers and non-ass kissers get the bad end of the stick. Snitching is at an all time high but what job isn't. And even though you can get to the top pay grade they won't allow you by giving you errors that you or they don't know about but you can't fight it because its their paperwork vs your word . So its very stressful until you get your paycheck other than that, that is why you will stay.

    Advice to Management

Stop showing favoritism give everyone the same opportunity to get their pay grade up without killing themselves everyday slaving while others don't slave.
