Absolutely the best Broadliner in the Business Consistently…
Feb 27, 2023 - Territory ManagerRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Lowest employee turnover of all Broadline Distributors means that you aren’t simply joining a company but a team and work family where the core value You Matter truly is at the forefront of all decisions and approaches from one on ones with your direct supervisor to teamwork to the CEO preferring to be out in the field with employees and with customers alike in order to gain feedback and develop innovative solutions to challenges and change in the industry. There is nowhere like it anywhere else. I know because I’ve been on the other sides of the fences. Over 150 years of tradition and quality in every area.
Cons
It’s Foodservice and it’s fast paced .. and constantly evolving and solutions to help customers make it must be made quickly and collaboratively oftentimes and sometimes independently. If you don’t love the hustle, there are other roles besides sales that are more steadily paced as well.

Pick a policy and stick to it, please! Bait and Switch
Apr 11, 2023 - Financial Analyst in Rosemont, ILRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Still able to work from home 3 days per week but it feels like employees cannot guarantee any stability in that. Benefits are good but salaries are relatively low compared to other companies.
Cons
Constant changes in the work from home / in office policy and senior leadership does not listen to employees. Over 70% said they were satisfied with the original policy and they changed it anyways which felt like a slap in the face. When I signed my offer letter to work here, I signed up for 8 days per month in the office with only 2 of those being scheduled, now suddenly we are required to come in every Tuesday and Wednesday, I'm guessing they will bump it up to 3 days in-office soon with the way things are going. You cannot bait and switch your employees like this. We are working adults with schedules and obligations outside of work that we cannot just change on a dime.

pays decent, usually overtime available, management pretends to care
Cons
they dangle the hope of sending Pronto drivers to get there cdl but make excuses why they are not sending anyone. benefits are expensive with high deductible and low coverage, minimal 401k match, minimal paid holidays, minimal vacation time with lots of blackout dates. supervisors peer pressure and guilt trip you into working days off or helping other drivers after you finish your route. you need a cell phone for your job but they do not reimburse you for any of your phone bill. no gym membership offered to stay in shape for a very physical job. no Aflec insurance offered in benefits in a job that you have a higher probability of getting injured. no shift differential for night delivery drivers. no sense of job security

Toxic & Incompetent Leadership
Dec 30, 2022 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Decent benefits, some nice people in the trenches
Cons
Nothing but a good ole' boys club at the core. Massively lacking in diversity, especially in leadership. Openness to diverse candidates is hit or miss depending on the area/manager/department, some are much more hostile than others. Leadership is chosen based on popularity within the club which in turn leads to most leadership being massively unqualified. Sales is where this is most extreme. It creates a stagnant pool of ideas & ways of doing things. No problems are ever actually fixed, more of a keep throwing the same stuff at the wall and see what sticks type of place. Aggressive culture/relationship between departments in certain markets, not a very collaborative environment. Different departments have little to no understanding of one another which leads to the tension. Not a learning-friendly environment as communication between departments is hostile at times. Can't blame them as communication in general here is HORRIBLE. Leadership will play dumb most of the time meaning you are solely responsible for learning about & understanding any and all corporate communications/changes. If you're in the trenches or not in the good ole boys club, expect to do most of the work and receive none of the credit. Expect to get the blame for the popular people/departments incompetence & mistakes,
