I have been working at US Foods full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Surrounded by creative people, decent salary, lots of benefits and development, good bonus, and unique products and services (and food)!

    Cons

Staying thin. Also, we have to be very adaptable in the market to make good profits so we can have staff adjustments more than certain other industries.

    Advice to Management

Your investment in employee satisfaction will pay off.

    Advice to Management

Start Doing Less and focus on priorities. Is Contract Management a way to differentiate our business???

    Pros

location, growth, many new initiatives, focused on stock performance and bottom line, innovative ideas

    Cons

Too many shifting priorities -- middle management lack skills to handle employees. Work Life balance is nonexistent. Inconsistent policy and protocols. Focus can be unclear,

    Advice to Management

listen to employee concerns and look at the root cause. Overworked employees have negative impact on health and bottom line

I have been working at US Foods full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Management encourages you to do well, training is outstanding, communication is fantastic for a large company, they know you are over worked sometimes so they treat you well having meals occasionally.

    Cons

Each employee has a lot on their plate to do so at times I do feel over worked. The training though prepares you for the times where you don’t know which way is up. Salary could be better compared to the industry and benefits for sure.

    Advice to Management

As of now I don’t have any advise. I’m so impressed with how management can handle the most difficult situations.

You are worked like a dog doing double the work that would be expected for a human. Terrible PTO. Place is so congested people are stationed in conference rooms.

    Advice to Management

Realize the workload and the reasons mistakes can be made are directly attributable to be stressed out and over taxed
