      Pros

People actually do care and are committed about their work. A lot og great people work for the Forest Service

      Cons

It is dependent on Congress for funding which can be exasperating.

        Pros

The mission of the Forest Service is quite commendable. I wholeheartedly believe in the beauty and necessity of public lands, so it is great that there is an agency out there working to protect our land for future generations. For my work as a technician, I got to be hands on with many of the projects that were going on in my particular management unit and Forest.

        Cons

Sometimes the most beneficial ideas and daily practices get lost in the bureaucracy of the agency. Hiring does not occur directly by the higher ups who are actually leading the crews, so it is easy to end up with people who aren't necessarily qualified for the job at hand.

What do you do to not think negatively when waiting for a response after interviews? How long do you wait to for them to respond before you do?

I have a Zoom interview this afternoon. If the interviewer didn't specify "camera on," should I assume I'll still need to have it on?

Regarding surgical services for NOVANT Health in the NC area: It is not disclosed during the interview that RNs & ST may be required to float to other facilities. Upon progressing through corporate orientation & many days later, arriving to the unit, new employees are then are presented with the full job description & asked to sign it. This is where the floating info is found. Make SURE to ask about this topic during the interview & READ your job description thoroughly!
