    Pros

Life long friendships, invaluable leadership skills, communication skills, technical skills, priveledge of leading the best employees in the world, keep the title "US Marine" for life.

    Cons

Cell phone rings at 2:00 AM Sunday morning to tell you to pack your trash or go get numnuts out of jail, sometimes both. Both are character building however.

I have been working at US Marine Corps (More than 5 years)

    Pros

It was great opportunity. The GI Bill is a nice perk.

    Cons

It can be a tough life. If you are career ambitious, being enlisted is not the best route.

    Advice to Management

Glad to have served, but left due to being a second class enlisted Marine. The opportunities and benefits are not the same for enlisted guys - an making that jump sets you back career wise. To retain the best and brightest, some type of more equitable "green to gold" programs should exist that don't set back career advancement.
