      Pros

      The brotherhood of the USMC is incomparable. You learn a lot of useful and transferable skills to civilian counterparts. Overall, your experience is what you make out of it whether you serve 4 or 20 years.

      Cons

      There is a lot of inconveniences that can arise with the military, but you kind of know that going into it. Again, the service is what you make of it.
