I worked at US Residential full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

My manager was absolutely the best.

    Cons

Upper management and company was not supportive of staff. Bills were never paid and collection calls continued non-stop including water, phone, and electric. I honestly wish I could say something positive. Apartments were not upkept, staff was mismanaged on a regional and district level. Sadly, only one-person staff in a high crime area. Most contractors refused to provide work without prepayment. The elderly lady at another property consistently tried to fire those that worked. While grateful for a job, the salary was non-existent.

    Advice to Management

Please pay bills on-time, it's extremely difficult to assist and aide residents and potential residents when every phone call is from a collection agency. This company could be incredible. I left because I simply could not take the stress of working with the company. I'm a great employee when I first started the leasing rate was 80% when I left a few short months later it was 100%. Please pay staff.

I worked at US Residential full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good 401k match. Good, fair owners if you have CIII

    Cons

Low salaries, no bonus, if you have not worked for Riverstone you will never be promoted

    Advice to Management

Follow your core values for all

I have been working at US Residential full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay check on time. 20% rent discount (if offered)
    Flexible schedule
    Lots of great learning opportunities

    Cons

    VERY DISORGANIZED
Lots of miscommunication between upper management and on site staff
Personally viewed unethical and fair housing policies violated by upper management
New managers are truly left in the deep waters without life support
Overall very disappointed how upper management conducts business

    Advice to Management

Open, honest communication is the heart beat of Property management. Right now it seems like most of the properties are on life support and aren't thriving.

I have been working at US Residential full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The environment is positive. There is a good balance between working hard to accomplish goals and employee appreciation at all levels of the organization.

    Cons

There really are no glaring cons. Maybe the orientation of a new Manager could be more through before they are placed on site.

    Advice to Management

Currently the corporate culture is pisitive and my experience has been a good one. Please give some thought to an orientation for Property Managers before they are the leaders of their community. They would be better able to assist their teams with timely correct information.

I worked at US Residential full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They didn't care when you were late or how much you worked all they cared about were renting apartments

    Cons

They hire anyone and everyone including managers entire families... so obviously the managers family gets special treatment

    Advice to Management

Do not under any circumstances allow family to work on the same property period it is always bad for business

I have been working at US Residential full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great company to work for. Fair with pay scale. Really trying to make it a place you want to stay. Hard work but great people make it good place to work.

    Cons

A few but minor ones. Hard to find people that qualify for maintenance in this area. Often short staffed. Jar

    Advice to Management

Maintenance skills test for new hires needs to be reevaluated. It tests reading comprehension more than accual knowledge. Alot of unfair questions on it. Coupled with the personality test for new hires makes it almost impossible to hire anyone.
