I worked at US Water Services Corporation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits and company truck to take home.

    Cons

The more the company grows the more it becomes out of tune with its self and more bad antics evolve out in the field.

    Advice to Management

When I first started working for US Water they were a great company to work for but as the years went by to me it has been down hill ever since. It seems the more accounts they get the more the company's right hand does not know what the left hand is doing ... At least here in Florida. Us Water has some contracts in other states. Over the years I have seen former employees get the shaft for expressing true concerns about what is going on out in the field but would get a deaf ear because it would hurt the profit margin in the long run. Also allot, if not all, monthly drinking water & wastewater operational reports are being done at the main office at 2014 U.S. Water Services Corporation 4939 Cross Bayou Blvd, New Port Richey, FL 34652 - (727) 848-8292. They have the operator's name on file and I am sure by computer they put the same signature on the reports over and over. Also allot of the wastewater reports (DMR) has the owner's, Gary Deremer, signature on it instead of the true lead operator. I wonder how the DEP feels about that.

My advice ..... Fire allot of the management and hire better business moral people.

I worked at US Water Services Corporation full-time

    Pros

Opportunities to learn new jobs and decent pay

    Cons

Workload is not balanced, promotions not based on merit. If you are looking for just a job it's a great place - but if u look to move forward as they promise - don't expect it

    Advice to Management

Stick by your own words. Hiring and keeping an employee should be based on skills and the job performance

    Pros

Company growing by leaps and bounds. Great company benefits. Caring people.

    Cons

Behind the times where technology is concerned. Managers overloaded which doesn't allow the proper time to train as well as should be.

    Advice to Management

    Be more available to employees

    Pros

Great benefits and decent pay. If you are a route driver, it stays quiet.

    Cons

Too many Chiefs and not enough Indians. Dishonest and unethical.

    Advice to Management

Live up to the promises you make. Don't drive off clients by being unethical. Have the Indians available before you make deals. Poor morale due to poor management in Texas.

    Pros

They provided a vehicle and did not micro manage. They have a great view of the future considering all the things ahead. I would work for them again.

    Cons

They are really cheap and hire people straight out of prison. They take over Co. They are failing and that means they cut corners any way they can.

    Advice to Management

I have no advice. They do a pretty good job considering the task they have been given. Our country I going to have to go with zero growth but no one seems to grasp the concept. We will never have the boom we have enjoyed for 150 years.

    Pros

USWS set up shop in a new area for them, in a new field so there was zero name recognition. Some good training.

    Cons

I moved for this job and was told there would be no sales expectations for the first year, just learn and get the name out there. Four months later they shut the facility down and let us go. Oh, and they gave me zero severance pay, despite putting in some very long days, 14+ hours. I have been in the same area with a competitor and grown my current business from $40k/mo to over $200k/mo. in two years.

    Advice to Management

When venturing into new fields and areas patience is needed and if you do need shut it down, treat people a little better. I risked a lot taking that job.
