This job is NOT for everybody!
Jun 2, 2015 - in North Providence, RIRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Work from home Have the ability to control your own pay Training is done 100% online
Cons
You have to be SKILLED in retention or else you will have a horrible base pay. The base pay is low - as low as $0.13 and go up to $0.45 a minute. During the certification, I would tell you to screenshot the retention slides and the benefits package - they are really important to succeed! Once you are certified (which takes about 6 hours in total) you are ready to go on the phones. The people are calling to cancel their credit report or what have you and they will always want a refund. You are REQUIRED to do a rebuttal 3x before sending them to an escalation agent. Like I said, GETTING PEOPLE TO NOT CANCEL THEIR ACCOUNTS IS THE PRIMARY JOB AND YOU MUST BE GOOD AT IT! I work 2 days for them last week and my phone was ringing off the hook and now about 4 days later I have been on hold for about 15 minutes and have not gotten any calls. If my retention was BETTER my phone would be ringing still.

Jan 4, 2015 - Customer Service Representative in Saint Petersburg, FLRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Nice that you get to work whenever you want from your own home, and pay can be good
Cons
pay is on a per minute basis (.16) so you only get paid on miuntes you are on the phone with someone, ex you work all day for 5 hrs and only get 4 calls totaling 50 minutes of talk time, then you only made $8 for your 5 hours of time you invested with the company. Its really not worth it. The first month i made ok money , but now i fight to make any pay as there are just no calls coming in and the lower customers you save the lower you are paid

Quality associates, Great atmosphere. Consistent with the value and mission statement of the company. Approachable constructive feedback and team building is exercised frequently and makes a big difference in the attitude of the employees.
Cons
Long hours and much of the work is on the phone. Meetings, coaching and training all on the telephone with many different companies and business ideas.

My experience working for USA Contact Point
Oct 9, 2015 - Escalation/Customer Service Representative in Clarksville, TNRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The training is thorough yet fast. You can start right away. Your pay is always on time. I've never had a pay issue. You work from home, and choose your own hours. You are rewarded for retention.
Cons
You may have mean customers at times, but it comes with any job of this nature. If you do not have a quiet environment at home, this will not be a good choice for employment.

So far so good, just waiting for more phone calls to come through.
Jan 28, 2015 -RecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great training, its all virtual I believe is what its called. Its all self explanatory, Get to work from home, and work when it works best for you. Just sit back and wait for the calls to come in.
Cons
Low pay, which is disappointing. I wish it was per hour instead of per minute. Depending on your own retention your weekly pay could vary every week.
- Current Employee★★★★★
Pros
You can work from home as much or as little as you would like
Cons
The training is web-based in which can complete in a matter of a couple of hours. However, you have no support once the training is complete. It's pretty much a sink or swim kinda situation. So you better make sure you know what you're doing before accept the position.
