    Pros

Good employees at the operator and maintenance levels. These employees take pride in their work and create a good work environment. They offer professionals a good relocation package.

    Cons

Low pay compared to the same job function in other industries. At this time they are optimizing employees so they require a lot of multitasking with no extra compensation.

    Advice to Management

They need to evaluate upper and middle management positions. They are loosing good employees based on poor decisions made at the plant and local management levels.

I worked at USG full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay is good. They give nice bonuses. Management is pretty good too. The HR is excellent here. They seem to care about lot about worker safety.

    Cons

The work hours are difficult. They did rotating shifts when I worked there. That made it difficult to commit to plans or attend school.

    Advice to Management

    Stop the rotating shift.

    Pros

This company is still primarily a domestic organization based in and providing products to America. They have continued to survive for over 100 years, so if you add value and keep your mouth shut, there is good likelihood that you can find longer term employment. Decent, but not the best, pay and benefits.

    Cons

Many years of downsizing has put pressure on survivors, so the ability to work in a stressful, 24/7 environment is essential if you want to work there. The financial group runs the company and is only concerned with the bottom line. They are losing/have lost their ability to listen to employees.

    Advice to Management

Quit smiling so much and listen more.
