Pros
I love working here. I just started a couple of months ago but I've seen quite a bit of success. I attribute that to the phenomenal training and support from leadership. The uncapped income is nice.
Cons
It's hard work. Leads are provided at no charge other than your hard work. On average the company has put at least $500 a week towards leads for me.

Former employee, never going back
Jun 18, 2017 - Field Sales LeaderRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
As a former agent who started at US Health in 2014 and then advanced high enough to open a top 10 office with over 20 agents I feel I have a lot of valuable information to share with anyone considering a career here. First of all, before I explain why I am never going back, let me say that for new agents thinking about joining the industry, or seasoned agents WILLING TO LEARN, this is probably the best insurance opportunity in America. NO insurance company I have ever worked for prior or since pays as much in commission as USHA and NO insurance company has a product that is as innovative. Also, I'm not going to rehash what everyone else has already said, it is not a 9-5 job and if you are willing to put in the work it WILL pay off. All that being said, your success depends a LOT on your up-line. I am the 5th or 6th manager that has left this particular division. At some point, you would think the company would listen to the complaints from the other agents in this division. Sadly that has not been the case. I have had numerous former agents calling me crying about what the office has become, but unfortunately, they are fairly stuck. My advice for anyone considering a career is to ask for a report from the office, and look for yourself at how many people they have and how well they produce. The best managers have teams with consistent sales. Choose one of those, otherwise you WILL regret your time here. Choose the right office and this job WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE.
Cons
Unless you are a great self-starter and at the top 1% of the game, you will fail unless you choose the right team.

Maybe bad timing but it did not work from me.

You are your own boss. Lots of training and support. Defiantly potential. There are people making money.
Cons
I have over 20 years of sales experience. I have been successful in every sales job I have had. I knew this would take time to grow and that there was no safety net. I have over $40k in savings when I started. I planned on doing whatever it takes to make it work. I wanted the freedom and residual income. I am sad to say that my savings ran out. I spent thousands of dollars on leads and trade shows and licensing for 32 states. I made very little money. Maybe the timing was wrong. Who knows why it did not work out for me? But it was not from a lack of ability or effort. I was many times the first to arrive and the last to leave. I hit the milestones which almost no one else did, but there just was no money in it. I had a lot of sales that would not make it through underwriting, which is very frustrating. I really like many of the leaders there but I have to warn others that you should know, IT IS NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE to make money there in the current environment. Perhaps when some of the ACA subsidies go away there may be more opportunity.

Pros
I left before my entire life savings was gone.
Cons
They lie to you from the time you get interviewed. They don't mention that you are expected to spend at least $1000/wk on leads and hope to at least break even. Leadership solutions to low sales are work longer hours and spend more money. Cult like atmosphere and the leaders will lie to you an inflate what they make and other agents make without telling you how much they spend to make it. Total scam and the way you are taught to sell their plans leave the consumer exposed to financial ruin.
