I have been working at USI Affinity full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great office atmosphere where there are no clicks or rude people. Everyone is pretty much on the same page and are nice to talk to. The hours are great 8:30 - 4:30. There are always fun things going on in the office and the employees are valued for there efforts.

    Cons

None so far, everything is good.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work, it nice seeing all the programs and incentives that you offer to recognize the hard working employees.

I worked at USI Affinity full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There were many opportunities to take on new duties and new tasks, mainly because leadership sucked at allocating their money and they had to keep laying people off and cutting budgets. But hey, I didn't mind it. It was fun learning new skills. Also, the PTO was great. Work was relaxing when you wanted it to be, but you had the freedom to add more if you wanted as well.

    Cons

I was one of maybe three other people of color in that entire office. People in that office were very ignorant of other cultures, and had a bit of cliquey feel to them. If you fit into that typical "All-American" construct, you were good. If you were different, there really wasn't any effort made to make you feel included or welcome. Additionally, most of the people who work there are in their 40s and 50s, and have been there for a long time. So when new, younger employees came in, they often would scoff at them like, "what would this little kid know?" There also was no effort investing in training programs or enriching employees.

    Advice to Management

Invest in inclusion training, and make sure your employees understand how to be inclusive of other age and ethnic groups. There shouldn't be as much tension between millennials that work there and Gen X as there currently is, and there certainly shouldn't be racially insensitive remarks being thrown around.

I have been working at USI Affinity full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Salary competitive, friendly environment, flexibility with employees.

    Cons

little training and not so well, limited growth possibility, no consistency on departmental structure.

    Advice to Management

Since "Product and Service" is our new motto, it is very important to promote within and use the talent you have where it is needed, like training, customer service, team unity. The best customer service is given when the team works as one and proper training

I have been working at USI Affinity full-time

    Pros

    - PTO

    - Easy

    - Pays for Licensing

    Cons

    - Terrible Training

    - Lack of Direction

    - LAZY Managers

    Advice to Management

Invest in actually training your employees, and have ONGOING training. Keep employees UPDATED on new procedures, and STOP being so LAZY. The work is not even hard; I had more demanding work in retail... folding clothes.

    Pros

I have always felt that the company cares about me. My situation wasn't ideal because of bad timing but they take good care of their employees.

    Cons

I honestly can't think of any negative thing to say. Since the day I started, I have received all the tools I needed to be successful.

    Advice to Management

    Invest in training

    Pros

Congenial co-workers. Nice new office space. They provided paid parking downtown. They provided some pretty nice technology too - wireless headsets for example.

    Cons

This is a branch office of a larger company. The corporate management was very focused on managing by metrics and quite a few talented people lost their jobs. And when people leave voluntarily they don't replace them.

    Advice to Management

Give some thought to your employees workload. Prior owners kept staff even during lean times so when the market bounced they'd have experienced folks already on staff.

I have been working at USI Affinity full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

PTO and Holidays are good ,

    Cons

no raises , too much work for pay , kill yourself all year for what ,

    Advice to Management

Start giving raises , take care and listen to employees regarding work load, everyone I talk to is looking for other jobs. Hire more people or we will continue to lose more good people
