Pros
UST is a great place to work as long as you understand the legacy of this organization, their growth history and the culture. UST has quite a few great people at leadership levels, people with a vision and who are open to experiment, stray away from the mundane. They are approachable and take feedback seriously. Mine was a short stint due to personal reasons, however, I made quite a lot of friends there whom I am still in touch with, which resonates with the core values of being a people oriented company. I found quite a few long timers, content and happy employees and the overall atmosphere is of positivity, learning and growth. Onsite opportunities are a big plus and even the smaller aspects like events, celebrations, sports, affiliations etc. also play a role in being an employer of choice.
Cons
As the company grew, I feel it led to weakening of the legacy and culture the company originally was all about. UST is often mistaken to be a Trivandrum or Kerala centric company, however if you look at the larger picture, it has a global footprint which is growing by the minute. This could be subjective, however I felt the induction and assimilation process can be a bit more well defined, not to make a new joiner feel left out.

Hello Thank you for the big shout-out about UST, despite your short stint here. Your words truly resonate with all of us here at UST, and it fills us with immense pride and gratitude to have you as a part of our team. We are aware of the perception that UST is mostly South India-based. We have development centers in cities like Pune, Kolkota, and Ahmedabad other than Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Coimbatore, with projects executed for Fortune 1000 clients. We will continue to focus on branding these cities where we have a significant presence.
