I have been working at UT Physicians full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits for insurance medical and dental. Teachers retirement plan instead of 401k. Human resources I'd very helpful when you have questions.

    Cons

Low salary wish it was more. We have to wear uniforms, they limit your salary based on position and not Years of experoence

I have been working at UT Physicians (Less than a year)

    Pros

Benefits were phenomenal. Salary was comparable.

    Cons

A primadonna physicians that is difficult to work for and with. Very cliqueish. Management is not a nurse or physician so he/she does not stand up for nurses and believes untruths told by others. Very youthful nursing/ma staff that wants you to do things the way they do or it is not right. Not enough years of experience to understand there ate many ways to perform a duty and get the same desired outcome.

    Advice to Management

Support your nursing staff. Do not always take the physician's opinion over the nurse's factual explanation.

I worked at UT Physicians full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great state benefits. Patients were awesome.

    Cons

I loved it there until I was shuffled to work with a dr who has horrible memory problems and who doesn't like anyone but MDs. Workplace bullies abound at the University level - go figure. What a safety nightmare for patients!. I tried to get into a different position but it was easier to leave. Compensation was low. Had to be on call rotation and was never paid for it.

    Advice to Management

Quit playing the "academics" game and get rid of deadweight drs. Get your billing department in order so you have money to hire good people. More money wasted there on horrible billing practices than I have ever seen.
