    Excellent collaborative atmosphere
    5 Nobel Laureates on campus
    Competitive salary
    Opportunity to learn and grow even outside the primary area of interest

    Cons

    As this is a public research institute and is located in Texas its progressive outlook has to be diplomatically managed and strategically manifested to avoid conflicts

    Excellent benefits such as paid insurance, lots of vacation time, retirement program

    Cons

    Wages can be lower than average for the area. No room for advancement without going back to school.

    Great benefits and opportunity to move up through the company.

    Direct management had favorites and it showed. Became slightly frustrating.

    You'll at least have a job

    Cons

    Some Supervisors/Managers are horrible. I learned exp., & from several other employees that there are few departments that have good Supervisors/Managers.

    Oh & they charge employees for parking

    Advice to Management

    Employees should expose your horrible, childish, & abusive behavior.

    Senior Mgrs. don't usually bother with Admins & their supervisors

    Ridiculous amount of PTO
    Mostly good people

    Cons

    Dealing with massive egos, mostly doctors
    Job security for those who shouldn't be there
    Management is too scared of the management above them

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your employees and stop being scared of every doctor and management

    Pros

    At UT Southwestern you get great benefits/vacation time off. According to the location/clinic you work at, you may have great management.

    Cons

    The pay could be slightly better. Other than that, UT is s great place to work at.....friendly staff.
