I worked at UTC Aerospace Systems full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Strong company with good name recognition in a good industry.

    Cons

Managers could go either way I've had one really good hands on willing to sit down and teach manager then two horrible never talk to me never interact mangers. I was passed off to another supervisor that wasn't even located in state. I found out she was complaining I didn't have enough work... but she was the one responsible for giving me work..

    Advice to Management

If you're going to use interns to develop future talent actually take the time to develop the talent don't just abandon them and hope the team or other employees make up for it.

I worked at UTC Aerospace Systems full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Global initiatives and programs. Futuristic thinking.

    Cons

Lack of development opportunities from supervisor.
Very little diversity of upper management
    "Old-School" mentality and leadership approaches
Unwillingness to change for the better
Mountains of work with little to no offerings of relief or assistance
Lack of preparing for the growing pains that come with huge, organization-wide changes

    Advice to Management

Be more open to new ideas. Hire more diverse leadership. Fire the ones holding the facility back from greatness. There was so much new talent that came in and stayed only a short period of time because of the lack of growth opportunity, and because their fresh approaches to old problems were dismissed in favor of "doing things like we always have".
